OU Health Services, a department of Student Affairs, has existed on the University of Oklahoma campus since 1907. the first Student health Serves, from 1907 to 1926, operated as a clinic in a former fraternity house. From 1927 until 1970 OUHS was a full service hospital located in Ellison hall. In 1968 as a part of a campus-wide referendum vote, a Student Facility Fee was approved that along with a donation from the Charles B Goddard Foundation funded the building of the current health center which has been occupied since 1971.
